Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effect of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and on general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatment including spinal adjustment.

Developed by John McTimoney, this method of adjusting the body is a gentle, whole body approach which aims to rebalance the skeletal system, releasing the potential of the nervous system as well as helping with the relief of pain.
